Grambling puts two on All-SWAC Baseball Team

A pair of Grambling State players earned All-Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Team accolades Tuesday morning as the team was preparing to open SWAC Baseball Tournament play today.

GSU outfielder Jahmoi Percival received a first-team All-SWAC nod while shortstop Cameron Bufford was named Second Team All-SWAC.

Percival leads the Tigers with a .352 batting average and 37 runs batted in and has also hit four home runs on the season while posting a .941 fielding percentage

Bufford has the second best batting average for the Tigers at .310 along with a team-best 10 home runs and 35 RBI while posting a .900 fielding percentage.

The duo will join the Tigers in opening SWAC Baseball Tournament play at 9 a.m. today against Alabama A&M at Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama.
