Temple Baptist students announce engagement

Caleb Whitten, of Choudrant, and Cailee Fruge, of Franklinton, have announced their engagement.

The couple plan to marry at 5 p.m. June 26, 2022, at The Greenery in Amite.

Whitten is a graduate of Choudrant High School. He is the son of Ronnie and Stephanie Whitten and the late Deede Whitten. Fruge, a graduate of Bowling Green School, is the daughter of Jerry Jr. and Jewel Fruge.

Whitten, a fifth generation Rustonian, and Fruge are both students at Louisiana Tech. Whitten and Fruge both attend and are employed by Temple Baptist — Whitten in the music ministry and Fruge in the children’s ministry. The couple have a calling into vocational ministry.

The Lincoln Parish Journal will start publishing paid engagement and wedding announcements for couples who reside in the parish, who have relatives in the parish or who are getting married in the parish. Students who are enrolled at Louisiana Tech or Grambling State but who do not live in the parish will also be able to submit. These announcements will be published each Friday and Sunday.
