A woman in Simsboro was arrested over the weekend and charged with domestic abuse battery, specifically strangulation.
A Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Officer responded to 373 Gahagan Road in Simsboro in reference to Brittney Lachney causing a disturbance.
After the officer placed Lachney in the back of the patrol unit, the complainant and homeowner said Lachney had been acting strange and got into an altercation with a juvenile. The juvenile informed the officer that Lachney had struck him in the face and stomach. The officer observed strangulation marks on the juvenile’s neck. The juvenile reported that Lachney had put her hand around his throat and that he did not want to be around her. He stated that Lachney did not like him and attacked him.
A Louisiana Victim Notice and Registration form was filled out and signed by the victim. Photographs were taken of the victim’s injuries, and Lachney was transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked on the above charge.
Bond was set at $20,000.
