Female arrested after blocking highway

Lincoln Parish deputies arrested a Dubach woman after she was found standing in U.S. 80 east of Ruston blocking traffic.

Monday evening Deputy S. Anunciation-Taylor drove up on Martha Ann Jackson, 41, of Dubach standing in the eastbound lane of the state highway. Jackson was holding a metal spoon and other items. When the deputy asked Jackson to place the items on the hood of the patrol car, she reportedly threw them into the woods.

During a patdown for weapons, Jackson became agitated and allegedly pulled up her shirt exposing her breasts. When the deputy attempted to pull Jackson’s shirt down, she tried to move away, saying she didn’t have anything on her. When deputies attempted to handcuff her, Jackson became defensive and tried to pull away.

Jackson was arrested and booked at the parish detention center for obstruction of a roadway, indecent exposure, resisting an officer and littering.
