Neill Kilgore tournament starts today

The annual Neill Kilgore Tournament hosted by Cedar Creek High School begins today as the three-day event will feature a total of 13 games.

The Cedar Creek girls are a perfect 7-0 on the season entering the weekend with a power rating of No. 3 in the state. The Cougars are 5-2 and have a power rating of No. 4 in the state.

Teams competing on the girls side will include Cedar Creek, Quitman, Haughton, Saline, Elizabeth and Calvin while teams competing on the boys side include Cedar Creek, Quitman, Calvin, D’Arbonne Woods, and Saline.

Thursday and Friday will each feature four games (2 boys and 2 girls) while Saturday will include five games. The championship game for the girls division will be Saturday at 6:15 p.m. while the championship game for the boys division will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 9

Game 1: Quitman vs. Haughton (G) at 4 p.m.

Game 2: Quitman vs. Calvin (B) at 5:15 p.m.

Game 3: Saline vs. Cedar Creek (G) at 6:30 p.m.

Game 4: D’Arbonne Woods vs. Cedar Creek (B) at 7:45 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 10

Game 5: Loser G2 vs. Loser G4 at 4 p.m.

Game 6: Winner G1 vs. Elizabeth (G) at 5:15 p.m.

Game 7: Winner G3 vs. Calvin (G) at 6:30 p.m.

Game 8: Winner G4 vs. Saline (B) at 7:45 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 11

Game 9: Loser G1 vs. Loser G3 at 2:30 p.m.

Game 10: Loser G6 vs. Loser G7 at 3:45 p.m.

Game 11: Loser G8 vs. Winner G5 at 5 p.m.

Game 12: Winner G7 vs. Winner G6 at 6:15 p.m.

Game 13: Winner G8 vs. Winner G2 at 7:30 p.m.
