Employee charged with stealing lottery tickets

A Ruston woman was arrested after a report she stole lottery tickets from the store where she worked.

Natasha Watts, 46, was arrested for theft of two books of state lottery tickets from the EZ Mart at 1500 S. Vienna Street. The alleged theft was captured by surveillance cameras in the store.

Watts reportedly redeemed the winning tickets at another location. The amount Watts received had not been determined when she was booked.

Watts was also wanted on two warrants held by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department for failing to appear in court.

Watts was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked. Bail was set at $5,500.
