Drugs found in suspicious car at vacant house

Lincoln Parish deputies made two arrests Friday for possession of methamphetamine after checking out a suspicious vehicle.

Deputies responded to a citizen’s report of a suspicious vehicle parked at an abandoned residence on Leachman Road. Deputy Dylan Henry found Lori Lea Pierce, 39, of Rayville, seated in a Toyota sedan in the driveway and Dillon Langford, 36, of Ruston, came out of the residence.

A search of what was described as “the massive contents” of the passenger compartment of the Toyota led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Officers of the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team were called to the scene to assist due to the number of items to be searched.

Additional packages of suspected methamphetamine, consumption devices and digital scales were also found in the car.

Pierce and Langford were booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Monday afternoon, both remain in the detention center in lieu of $7,500 bail each.
