Two men wanted for skipping court appearances were arrested by local officers this past weekend.
Saturday afternoon Lincoln Parish Sheriff Sergeant J. Johnson stopped a vehicle on U.S. 80 when he saw the occupants were not wearing seatbelts. A records check showed the driver, Brandon Lee Gray, 45, of Saline, was wanted on multiple warrants and bench warrants.
Gray was arrested on warrants for failing to appear on two DWIs, a speeding charge, open container in a vehicle. The charge for an additional arrest warrant was not identified in booking records. Gray was also found to be driving while his license was suspended.
Gray was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail was set at $35,000; however, no bail was set on the second DWI.
On Sunday afternoon, Ruston Police Officer E. Williams stopped Christopher L. Maryland, 19, of Ruston for a traffic violation. A check indicated Williams was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in Third District Court for possession of Schedule II controlled substances.
Bail was set at $20,000.
