Grambling Police Department arrested a Hernado, Miss., woman last Friday on charges of battery of a dating partner.
The GPD officer was dispatched to a Edith Rose Lane residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. The officer spoke to Mina Walsh, 23, who said she and her boyfriend of five years got into an argument that turned physical when Walsh hit him.
The victim stated Walsh was upset over a bowl not being put in the sink. As they argued, the victim said Walsh then struck him in the face multiple times with a closed fist. While the fight was taking place, the victim said his mother was on the phone, and he told her to call the police. The victim added that he added in self-defense to keep Walsh from continuing to hit him.
Walsh was booked in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bond had not been set as of press time.
