Louisiana Tech Athletics and University Advancement have announced the establishment of the Aillet Society, a philanthropic group for LA Tech Athletics committed to achieving one mission – Building the Legacy.

The Aillet Society is dedicated to delivering championship resources that will drive competitive excellence and help Louisiana Tech’s student-athletes achieve life-long success.

The Aillet Society is named after Joe Aillet, Louisiana Tech’s winningest football coach, beloved teacher, and member of several Halls of Fame. Through his 26-year coaching career, Aillet established a strong foundation for success for his Bulldogs and Louisiana Tech University. The Aillet Society honors his commitment to student-athletes and builds the University’s legacy.

“With the launch of the Aillet Society, we are reaffirming our commitment to our student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and fans to advance Louisiana Tech Athletics to nationally competitive levels,” said Dr. Eric A. Wood, Vice President and Director of Athletics.

Support from the Aillet Society will provide funding for facility construction and renovations, coaches’ salary enhancements, and other specific projects of the Athletics Department designed to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience.

“Louisiana Tech has established a strong legacy in its athletics programs, and future investments in the Aillet Society will have a significant impact on our future,” said Brooks Hull, Vice President for University Advancement and CEO of the University Foundation. “With these leadership commitments, our University will continue to improve the experience for Louisiana Tech fans.”

Commitments to the Aillet Society start at $25,000, and pledged funds can be paid over a five-year period. A gift to the Aillet Society is a philanthropic donation that supports the mission of Louisiana Tech Athletics. A premier recognition program honors our loyal Aillet Society investors, who will have a level of knowledge and connection that places them at the epicenter of Louisiana Tech Athletics.

“The Aillet Society will transform the Louisiana Tech student-athlete and fan experience by enhancing resources fundamental to the highest level of achievement and pride,” Wood said. “In this conference-realignment era, we want to be the most sought-after Group of Five university in the country. There has never been a more important time to commit to Louisiana Tech Athletics.”
