Creek hosts Wallace Martin Invitational

Cedar Creek will host the Wallace Martin Invitational Friday and Saturday at Lincoln Parish Park.

Lincoln Parish Park will be the site of the Wallace Martin Invitational today and Saturday hosted by Cedar Creek School.
 
Admission is $5.00 per car.
 
Friday’s schedule includes races for the elementary school and middle school runners, starting at 4:30 p.m. Grades k-6th will compete in a 1-mile race while grades 7 and 8th will compete in a 2-mile course. 
 
Start times will be approximate with a rolling schedule.
 
Friday
4:30 p.m. — 5th/6th Grades (Girls then Boys)
5 p.m. — 3rd/4th Grades (Girls then Boys)
5:30 p.m. — k/2nd Grades (Girls then Boys)
6 p.m. — 7th/8th Grades (Girls then Boys)   
 
Saturday
8 a.m. — Varsity Girls
8:30 a.m. — Varsity Boys
9 a.m. — Junior Varsity Girls
9:30 a.m. — Junior Varsity Boys                 
 
The varsity and junior varsity races will be held on Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. and will include 3-mile courses.
 
Varsity girls will start at 8 a.m. followed by varsity boys, then JV girls and JV boys. Again, it will be a rolling schedule so start times after the initial race will be approximate. 
 
Traffic entering Lincoln Parish Park is historically heavy for these races so fans are encouraged to arrive early and to have the exact $5 in order to expedite entrance into the park.
