Man arrested on charges of sexual battery

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Ruston man Sunday after he allegedly held a woman in a locked bedroom and molested her.

Deputies responded to a Water Tank Road residence Sunday evening and spoke with the alleged victim. She said Kevin Primus, 36, asked her to follow him into a bedroom. In the bedroom, he gave her $10 to “help her out,” but she did not agree to do anything for the money. She stated Primus locked the door and would not let her leave, pulled down the top of her dress, and touched her inappropriately.

The victim said Primus would not let her out until someone knocked on the bedroom door.

Primus appeared heavily intoxicated and told deputies he went to the house to watch football and was being falsely accused.

Primus was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for sexual battery. Bail was set at $5,000.
