
Lady Cougars 63, St Frederick 23
Allie Furr scored 17 points and Lizzie McAdams added 14 points as Cedar Creek rolled to a 63-23 win over St. Frederick Monday night at the Brickhouse in District 2-1A action.
The Lady Cougars (20-5, 6-1) picked up their 20th win of the season and did it rather easily against the over-matched Warriors (0-16, 0-7).
Creek took a 20-5 lead after one quarter and led 33-8 at the half. Head coach Gene Vandenlangenberg used his bench freely over the final two quarters as the Lady Cougars kept pace in the district race with Ouachita Christian with the regular season finale set for Wednesday at River Oaks.
Caroline James (7 points), Mallory Smith (6 points) and Leah Sutherland (6 points) contributed offensively in the win.

St. Frederick 56, Cedar Creek 47
A costly first quarter was the difference Monday night as Cedar Creek fell 56-47 to St. Frederick in the final home District 2-1A contest at the Brickhouse.
The Cougars (12-14, 3-4) fell behind 18-6 after the first quarter of play and were never able to fully recover in falling for the second time in as many tries to the Warriors (15-9, 6-2). St. Fred’s won the first meeting in Monroe 58-39 on Jan. 20.
Carter Hill led the Cougars with 19 points, including going 7-of-12 at the free throw line. Connor Norris added nine points (3 three-pointers) and Davis Walsworth added eight points (all in the first half).
After trailing by 12 at the half, Creek trailed 30-23 at the half and 38-31 at the end of the third quarter.
Parker Robinson led St. Frederick’s with 23 points.
Creek travels to River Oaks Thursday for its final regular season district game.
