Tech hoops enters C-USA Tournament week

Conference USA announced the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship tournament bracket Saturday evening. The 11-team, four-round bracket for both the men and the women will run from Mar. 8-11 at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, presented by TotalCare.

On the women’s side, Louisiana Tech will be slated as the No. 5 seed and will face the No. 4 seed UTEP Miners in the tournament quarterfinals on Thursdayvat 11:30 a.m. on Court B. The game can be seen on ESPN+.

LA Tech finished the regular season 19-11 and 12-8 in C-USA play to earn a first-round bye after sweeping FIU and FAU this week. UTEP also finished the regular season with 19 wins (19-10) and a 12-8 conference mark but dropped their final two matchups against WKU and Middle Tennessee this week.

On the men’s side, the Bulldogs are the No. 10 seed and will face the No. 7 seed FIU in the first round on Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Court A. The game can be seen on ESPN+.

LA Tech finished 14-17 and 7-13 in C-USA play after dropping its regular season finale against C-USA champion FAU 76-72 Saturday evening at the TAC.
