A Dubach woman and her husband were arrested early Thursday morning on a traffic stop when warrants were discovered for both of them.
Amanda B. Williams, 42, was stopped for speeding just after midnight Thursday for speeding 60 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone on North Trenton Street. A records check indicated a Ruston City Court warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving under suspension case.
The arresting officer attempted to identify the others in the car, but a man refused to identify himself, stating he knew his constitutional rights. When other officers arrived at the scene, the man was identified as Donnell D. Williams, 45, the driver’s husband.
Williams was found to be wanted on a Ruston City Court warrant for failure to appear in court on a simple battery charge. A second arrest warrant accused Donnell Williams with missing Third District Court for unauthorized use of an access card and misdemeanor theft.
Amanda and Donnell Williams were arrested on the warrants with the husband also charged with resisting an officer for failing to identify himself.
