Student arrested on child pornography charges

A Louisiana Tech student was charged Thursday with seven counts of pornography involving juveniles under age 13.

Bryce Gough, 20, was arrested on warrants at his Ruston residence. The arrest followed an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation of the office of the Attorney General and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

LPSO’s Lt. Matt Henderson said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children informed authorities earlier this year that an internet user was in possession of child sexual abuse material.

The LBI began investigating the case and notified LPSO after it was determined the suspect lived in Lincoln Parish.

Gough was arrested and booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail was set at $150,000. He was later released on bond.
