Multiple Bearcats earn 2-5A All-District Baseball honors

Following a 21-11 regular season and playoff berth, 15 Ruston High Bearcat baseball players earned all-district honors as voted on by the coaches in 2-5A.

“I’m very pleased with the myriad of players we had chosen for the all-district team,” Ruston head coach Zack Smith said. “Overall, I’m very pleased and proud of what they’ve done for us. Hopefully, they will continue to be successful in their lives and that this program has helped them along the way.”

Leading the way was senior Nick Robinson, who was named co-pitcher of the year and first team all district as a pitcher. Robinson led the way with 43 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.92 after pitches 58.1 innings on the year.
