Drugs, wanted person found on traffic stop

A traffic stop yielded drugs and a wanted person for the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office early Saturday morning.

About 3:30 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle on La. Highway 33 for an equipment violation. During the course of the investigation, the vehicle was searched and suspected ecstasy tablets were discovered.

The driver, Amber Kaye Reeves, 43, of Ruston, was also wanted on a warrant held by the Ruston Police Department.

Reeves was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (ecstasy), a traffic charge, and the warrant. The nature of the warrant was not immediately available.

Bail was set at $9,500.
