
A man wanted in Dallas County, Texas, was found during an early morning traffic stop by Ruston Police.
Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation just after midnight Friday morning. A passenger gave the name Joshua Thompson and a birthdate, but a records check showed no such person. When he provided the name Joshua Thomas and the correct birth date, it was determined he was wanted for felony possession of marijuana charge. In Dallas County.

The warrant indicated Thomas was wanted for possessing up to five pounds of marijuana. He was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on the warrant and for resisting an officer by providing a false name. He will be held at the detention center until extradition proceedings are completed to return him to Texas.
