Funeral services for Mr. Belva Alford “B.A.” Lee, age 90 of Dubach, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach with Rev. Jeff Roberts and Rev. Caroll Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
B.A. was born August 9, 1933 in Pollock, TX to Leonard and Della Lee and passed away September 7, 2023 in Ruston. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time with nature while ranching and gardening. B.A. also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired from Brown & Root after 25 years of work. B.A. was a 32nd Degree Mason serving 66 years and was a past Master of Melrose Lodge #1294 in Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Robert Lee, Henry Lee and C.E. “Buddy” Lee.
B.A. is survived by his wife Laquita Lee; children Laurie Broesche and Paul Lee; grandchildren: Taylor Broesche, Madisyn Deleon, Jamie Lee and Matthew Lee; siblings Orren Ray Lee (wife Brenda Lee) and Myrtle Nickerson; nephew James Lee; niece Angela and husband Andy Limb; great-nephew Austin; great-niece Amelia; and a host of other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Broesche, James Lee, Andy Limb, Dennis Puckett, Lonnie Dean and Dale Williams.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the church.
