Ruston Community Theatre has announced the cast for the upcoming show “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” directed by Tami Alexander and sponsored by Century Next Bank.
The play is written by Barbara Robinson based on her best-selling young adult book. Auditions were held earlier this fall and drew a crowd of more than 60 kids and teens.
In this comedic Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids–probably the most inventively awful kids in history.
Most of the roles have been double-cast to accommodate the large number of kids who auditioned. The first name listed will be a part of the “Silent Night” cast and the second name will be in the “Joy to the World” cast.

The show dates will be Nov. 30 through Dec. 3, Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. at The Dixie Center for the Arts in Ruston.
