Louisiana Tech Tennis head coach Amy Sargeant secured her first recruiting class on Friday, signing two Bulldogs – Zoie Epps and Soha Singh – who will join the program at separate times this upcoming season.

Epps, a native of Norman, Oklahoma, will join LA Tech in late November, competing for the Bulldogs this upcoming spring season. She is a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net, ranking No. 1 in the state of Oklahoma, No. 11 in the gulf states, and No. 143 in the country.

“Zoie is probably the most underrated recruit in the country,” said Sargeant. “She chose Louisiana Tech because of its culture and the legacy she is destined to create. She is humble, hardworking, and embraces what it means to have a championship mindset.”

“Louisiana Tech has a positive atmosphere and everyone I met was so kind and helpful,” said Epps. “I absolutely love coach Sargeant and her positive energy.”

Singh will join the program in March during the spring slate. She is originally from India where she was ranked No. 4 in the country as an U12 junior but has lived in Australia where she was ranked No. 2 as an U15 junior. She was also recently a quarterfinalist in the 2023 Australian Cup and was a member of the All-Australian World School Team.

“We are extremely excited for Soha to join the Bulldog Family,” said Sargeant. “Throughout the recruiting process, Soha embraces what it means to represent something bigger than yourself and the core values of our program. I cannot wait to hit the ground running and see what the future holds for her with this team.”

“I chose Louisiana Tech for its strong and diverse tennis team,” said Singh. “After my initial meeting with coach Sargeant, I was impressed by her passion for the sport and her impressive coaching expertise that convinced me this was the perfect place to continue my love for tennis. Louisiana Tech’s excellent academic programs and vibrant campus helped me reaffirm my decision to join.”
