Ruston shooting suspect sought

Ruston Police are seeking a suspect who allegedly shot a man on the Farmerville Highway last Thursday.

Authorities announced Kenneth “Kino” Anderson, 39, is wanted on warrants charging him with attempted second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On Thursday, the victim, Corlis Scott, approached the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office on Road Camp Road with three gunshot wounds. Ruston Police were notified that Scott was shot on Farmerville Highway (La. 33) near Hodges Road, a short distance from the Sheriff’s Office.


Scott was transported to the Ruston Regional Airport where he was airlifted to Shreveport for medical treatment.

Investigation by Ruston Police led to the issuance of arrest warrants for Anderson.

RPD is seeking assistance in locating Anderson. Anyone with information can call RPD direct at 318-255-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 318-255-1111. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment.
