Lincoln Parish high school seniors encouraged to apply for ‘Pearls of Service’ Scholarship

The Junior Auxiliary of Ruston is accepting applications for its “Pearls of Service” scholarship through Feb. 26. This organization is making one $500 scholarship available to a 2021 graduate of Lincoln Parish High Schools.

All completed applications must be postmarked/submitted by Feb. 26. Application forms are available through the guidance office at all high schools in Lincoln Parish or online at http://www.jaofruston.org/page-1788758.

Key points for applying:
●Recipient must be a Lincoln Parish resident and a senior at a high school in Lincoln Parish

●Applicant will have maintained an overall 2.5 GPA

●Recipient will indicate intent to attend a college or university in Louisiana and enroll in full-time hours (will need to provide enrollment verification before scholarship is awarded)

●Recipient will be selected from Scholarship Application Forms submitted by eligible students

●Recipient will be chosen by an impartial Scholarship Committee along with Scholarship Chair

●The Pearls of Service Scholarship Recipient will be submitted to his/her high school. It is the decision of each school to recognize the recipient at graduation/awards ceremony.

●Deadline to turn in applications is Friday, February 26, 2021. Completed applications may be turned in:

A committee of Chapter Members will review the applications and select a qualified recipient. A recipient will be notified no later than April 30.
