Grambling State University extends closure through Friday amidst wintry conditions
Classes, Campus Operations expected to resume Monday, February 22

Grambling State University will suspend operations and cancel classes through Friday, February 19 amidst wintry weather conditions. Campus operations and classes are expected to resume Monday, February 22.

“Based upon the current forecast, the decision to close was made with the safety of our students, faculty, and staff in mind,” said Grambling State University President Rick Gallot.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the entire Four State Region through 6 PM this evening. A mix of sleet and snow becoming ice, with significant impacts to travel and power outages are expected. In addition, dangerous wind chills will result in ‘real feel’ temperatures in the single digits to several degrees below zero.
