Up and coming musical duo Dauzat St. Marie, which is making national noise and got its start here in Ruston, appear on “The Doctors” television show today to discuss their song “In It Together,” their partnership with American Cancer Society in our “In It Together” campaign, and to discuss “the beauty that can be discovered in even the toughest of times.”
Mat Dauzat, a Ruston native, and Heather St. Marie, from LaRose, met while in college together at Louisiana Tech University and began performing together, first in the band Hydrovibe before moving to Los Angeles and becoming a music duo.
In the midst of a national tour with Rick Springfield in 2018, St. Marie was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a lengthy battle St. Marie is now cancer-free.
“The Doctors” will air at 3 p.m. today on KTVE, Channel 10 on Suddenlink Cable.
