Lincoln Parish and the city of Ruston, will hold a E-waste day from 8 a.m. on Saturday.
This is a residential event only for Lincoln Parish and the city of Ruston, meaning no commercial or business waste will be accepted.
E-waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their “useful life.” Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled.
Household hazardous waste can become dangerous if not properly disposed of at events like Saturday’s.
Other items that can be turned in include:
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Batteries
• Power tools
• Humidifiers
• Vacuum cleaners
• Etc.
The event will be held at the Lincoln Parish Police Jury Complex located at 307 North Homer Street in Ruston.
