The Ruston Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one man injured.
Around 9:37 p.m. Saturday RPD officers respoinded to a call at the Eastside Mini Mart at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Farmerville Street in Ruston regarding a shooting.
Officers arriving on the scene there found a 30-year-old who had been shot in the face.
“His injuries weren’t life threatening,” said Chad Hamlin, RPD deputy chief on Tuesday afternoon. “He was shot in the MLK area near Clinton Circle and kept riding his bike to the store to call for help. That’s pretty much all we know at this point.”
