It’s a long and hard journey to become an Eagle Scout.

In fact, according to scouting.com, only around 6-8% of scouts go on to achieve the organization’s highest honor.

After Tuesday night, officially count Ruston’s George Budds and Frank Reger in that group.

An Eagle Court of Honor was held Tuesday night at Trinity Methodist Church to official bestow the rank to the two Troop 45 scouts in front of family and friends.

Budds is the son of Cain and Monique Budds of Ruston. His Eagle service project was repairing lifeguard stands at Lincoln Parish Park.

Reger is the son of Gorden and Courtney Reger of Ruston. His Eagle service project was making repairs after storm damage at Sunbelt Christian Youth Ranch in Lake, Mississippi.
