GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY TO ANNOUNCE NEW ATHLETICS DIRECTOR

After months of working with executive search firm TurnkeyGRZ, Grambling State will announce the candidate that will be recommended for the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, pending board approval.

Grambling State University has a rich Athletics history that continues to garner national attention. Located in north Louisiana, Grambling State has generated some of the most successful athletes and coaches on both the professional and collegiate level, including Coach Eddie G. Robinson, the third most-winningest coach in the history of NCAA College Football and Doug Williams, the first black quarterback to win a Super Bowl.

Known as the Tigers, Grambling State University has a total of 13 competitive sports programs that compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference {SWAC} including football, soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track and field, tennis and bowling.
