PRESEASON PRACTICE BEGAN: Monday with shorts and helmets in conditioning workouts/acclimation

PRESEASON FULL PADS PRACTICE BEGINS: Monday, Aug. 9

PRACTICE TIME: 2:30 daily

SCRIMMAGE: at River Oaks, Friday, Aug. 20, 6 p.m.

JAMBOREE: To be determined

SEASON OPENER: Friday, Sept. 3, home vs. Beekman Charter, 7 p.m., Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium

COACHING STAFF: Glen Hall, head coach; Chancey Davison, defensive coordinator, OL/DL; Shannon Aultman, QBs; Billy Norman, OL/DL; Dominique Peel, WRs/DBs; Artez Cooper, LBs; Roy Johnson, special teams.

NOTES: The Panthers have had 20 players in summer workouts and hope to add 5-10 more as school begins … there are only three seniors, and one is a rising college prospect. Senior lineman Imani Marcel is 6-3, 375, and has attracted attention from area colleges while attending five camps this summer … Lincoln Prep will begin the season playing its home games at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium, but hopes to end the fall playing on its new home field, which will have artificial turf and be alongside a brand-new fieldhouse as part of the development of the new campus.
