The Lincoln Parish Sewerage District #1 intends to smoke test sanitary sewer lines in the area around Watertank Road and Arthur Road. Smoke testing will begin on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, weather permitting. This will involve blowing HARMLESS smoke into the sanitary system, to locate where unwanted storm water may be entering. As a result, smoke may be seen coming from the roof stacks on houses, building foundations, manhole covers, or holes in the ground. The smoke is NON-TOXIC, CLEAN, HARMLESS TO HUMANS, PETS, FOOD AND MATERIAL GOODS, AND CREATES NO FIRE HAZARD. Should smoke enter a home, the resident may contact a member of the smoke testing crew working in the area for assistance.
