All three Lincoln Parish high school football teams are playoff bound.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association released the brackets for all eight classifications late Sunday morning and Ruston High, Cedar Creek and Lincoln Prep now officially know their immediate future for Week No. 1 of the playoffs.

More details including dates, times and ticket information will be included in Monday’s addition of the Lincoln Parish Journal.

Ruston High (9-1), winners of nine straight games and coming off an emotional 35-17 win over West Monroe Friday night, are the No. 1 seed in the Non-Select Division I classification and earned a first week bye. Head coach Jerrod Baugh and Company will host the winner of the first round match-up between No. 16 seed Hahnville and No. 17 seed Ouachita.

Cedar Creek (6-4) is the No. 16 seed of the Select Division IV classification and will host a first round match-up against No. 17 seed Slaughter Community Charter (7-3). Slaughter Community Charter finished third in District 9-1A behind Kentwood and Southern Lab.

The winner of the Cedar Creek vs. Slaughter Community Charter game will travel to face No. 1 seed Vermilion Catholic (10-0), the District 7-1A champion.

Lincoln Prep (3-7) is the No. 23 seed of the Selection Division IV classification and will travel to face No. 10 seed Ascension Catholic (8-2). Ascension Catholic won District 8-1A and its only two losses came against 2A foes Dunham (9-1) and Episcopal (9-1) in games decided by just one score.
