CollegeAD broke news this morning that Louisiana Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Eric Wood is allegedly headed to Ole Miss to take a high level athletics administration position within the Rebels athletic department.
Although the rumors have not been officially confirmed by Wood or any officials at Louisiana Tech or Ole Miss, CollegeAD is one of the leading sources of intercollegiate athletics news.
Woods is in his fourth year at Tech after taking the Director of Athletics position in October of 2020, coming from UCF at the time.
According to his bio on the school’s website, the 24-year veteran of collegiate athletics came to Ruston following a five-year stint at UCF, becoming the first Director of Athletics in LA Tech history to also serve as a Vice President while also becoming the first African-American Vice President and the first minority Director of Athletics in the University’s history.
