A Ruston woman was arrested for aggravated battery after she allegedly struck a 14-year-old in the head with a car seat while on a school bus.
Chandra Strother, 45, was arrested in January 30 after Ruston Police investigated the January 22 incident on a Lincoln Parish school bus.
Strother, a bus driver, was seen on video throwing a child’s car seat at a 14-year-old juvenile female on a school bus. The car seat struck the juvenile in the back of the head as she was walking away. There were no reported injuries.
Strother told police, “It was a mistake and I let the stress and the disrespect from the kids on the bus get the better of me.” She also said she did not mean to throw the car seat at the girl and that it slipped out of her hands and bounced off a seat before making contact with the juvenile.
Stroller was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
