Louisiana Tech returns to Ruston for the first time since Valentine’s Day to play New Mexico State in the Thomas Assembly Center tonight.
Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game can be seen on ESPN+.
The Lady Techsters have already captured the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CUSA Tournament. Tech will put its 15 game winning streak on the line tonight.
Louisiana Tech (22-5, 15-1) is 20-6 against New Mexico State in the all-time series history. The last match-up came in Las Cruces on February 7th with a 77-58 Lady Techsters victory.
The Lady Techsters avenged their lone conference loss of the season with a 75-60 win over Sam Houston State Saturday. Louisiana Tech outrebounded Sam Houston 49-24, the second largest margin of the season and the second most rebounds for LA Tech on the season.
Paris Bradley is the only player in Conference USA with at least 130 rebounds (135), 80 assists (89), and 50 made threes (52). She is the first Lady Techster to reach those marks in a season since Betty Lennox in the 1999-2000 season. Bradley is also the only player in CUSA to average 14.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 3.0 apg.
Jianna Morris is one of three players in the country to average 2.7 three pointers made per game and have a triple in every game this season. Morris is 13 three pointers away from tying the most in a season by a Lady Techster in program history, held by Aarica Ray-Boyd with 86.
Louisiana Tech is two triples away from the most three pointers in program history. It would surpass the 199 three pointers made in the 2023-24 season and mark the only time the Lady Techsters have made 200 three pointers in a season.
The Lady Techsters went 7-0 in February, including a 5-0 record on the road. LA Tech is one of 10 teams in the country to go undefeated on the road in conference play this season.
The Aggies (9-19, 5-11) dropped their final home match-up against Jacksonville State 57-38, the least points for New Mexico State on the season.
The Aggies are last in CUSA in offense with 57.5 points per game and in margin at -8.4 per game.
Lucia Yenes leads the team with 13.1 points per game, the 10th best mark in CUSA. Imani Warren is close behind with 12.2 points per game, 6.7 higher than the third ranked scorer on the team. Warren is ninth in CUSA with 2.0 steals per game.
