A Ruston man was arrested for attempted rape last week after he allegedly assaulted an acquaintance inside his residence.
Kenneth Morris, 64, was arrested April 4 after Ruston officers responded to a Eugene Drive residence regarding the incident.

A woman said her employer, who is also a neighbor, attempted to rape her while she was napping on his couch. The woman said she had taken a muscle relaxer and was in a deep sleep and said Morris took her lower clothes off. She reportedly made efforts to stop Morris and told him no.
Morris was questioned and arrested for attempted third degree rape. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
