Wanted man found on traffic stop

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a motorist last week after he was stopped for no visible license plate and was found to be wanted on warrants.

Cameron G. Bowden, 36, of Grambling, was arrested on March 5 after a deputy saw Bowden’s Toyota was not displaying a visible license plate.


The deputy informed Bowden of the reason for the stop who apologized his temporary tag could not be seen from the window. A records check showed Bowden was wanted on two active bench warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court. He was placed under arrest and a search of the Toyota located a small amount of marijuana.

Bowden was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of marijuana, Improper display of license plate, and the failure to appear warrants for speeding and inspired inspection sticker. Bowden’s bail was set at $10,000.
