“The Class of 2025 has been very instrumental in the success of our program over the past four years,” Moss said. “They will be missed, but rest assured, they are in really great hands as they move on to the college experience. I’m so grateful to these students and their families for all the support that have given me and the rest of us for the past four years.”

The now-college bound band students are:

  • Johnathon Anderson (UL-Monroe)
  • Caden Breeding (Louisiana Tech)

  • Britany Gutierrez (Louisiana Tech)
  • Sydney Moss (Louisiana Tech)

Both Dr. Allen Parish of UL-Monroe and Dr. Chris Heidenreich of Louisiana Tech were both in attendance and praised the families and students for their hard work.

Heidenreich then presented Moss with a Roman Challenge Coin, which was an ancient way to recognize soldiers on a battlefield, signifying his respect for Moss’s commitment to the students and other various music endeavors around North Louisiana.

Moss concluded by speaking about the importance of band and what it can offer for students at the collegiate level.

“It’s and important day because it recognizes our students’ hard work,” Moss said. “It also validates that they’re moving on to the next chapter in their musical life. These students have been so productive for me, and I know that will be productive for the university programs they are signing with today.”
