Ruston restaurant employee threatened

A Ruston man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly called a restaurant employee a profanity and then threatened him with a pistol.

Makelin Vallaire, 22, was arrested for terrorizing and other charges on April 9 after the Sonic Restaurant on the Farmerville Highway reported the incident.

According to a Ruston Police report, Vallaire called a Sonic employee a profanity when the employee brought him his order. He then went inside the employees-only area of the restaurant and threw his drink on the employee.

Vallaire then allegedly went to his vehicle and retrieved a Glock .40 caliber pistol and yelled he would kill the employee.

The employee told police said he feared for his safety.

Vallaire was arrested for terrorizing, disturbing the peace, simple battery, and criminal trespass. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. His bail amount was not available at publication time.
