Student charged over threats

A high school student was arrested last week after he allegedly made comments about planning to kill another student.

John Wesley Snipe, 17, was arrested for terrorizing at Cedar Creek School on April 11 after he allegedly made comments that he had a plan to kill another student by shooting him in the face with a pistol or a shotgun.

A teacher and other students allegedly heard the comments and the school alerted the authorities in order to investigate.

Snipe was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. His bail amount was not immediately available.
