A 24-year-old Ruston man was killed last week after his vehicle left the roadway on Tech Farm Road and crashed.
Ruston Police responded about 8:45 p.m. on July 23 to find Edwin Rodriguez in the single-vehicle crash near Franklin Avenue.
According to police, Rodriguez was traveling north on Tech Farm Road in a 2009 Honda Accord when the vehicle exited the left side of the roadway.
The vehicle then reentered the roadway and overturned multiple times before stopping on the right side of the road.
Rodriguez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to police. He was taken by ambulance to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Speed and impairment are currently suspected to be contributing factors in the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
