A Dubach woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly stole a man’s key and refused to return it.
Shanda Kelley, 41, was charged with theft and resisting an officer Sept. 15 after Ruston Police responded to a Cooktown Road residence to investigate.
The victim said Kelley, his nephew’s girlfriend had taken a key off his key ring and refused to return it. Kelley told police she took the key but refused to reveal the location of the key.
When an officer attempted to arrest Kelley, she pulled away and refused to be handcuffed. Other officers assisted until Kelley was restrained and placed in a patrol car. She was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
