Bearcat duo participates in Perfect Game WWBA Underclassman World Championship

Ruston High Bearcat baseball stars Tyler Roach and J.P. Moak had a busy summer at the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association World Championships, turning in a pair of impressive performances for the Knights Knation Dodgers scout team.

Roach threw 3.1 innings and struck out two batters while giving up 0.00 earned runs in his appearance athe championship. For the summer, Roach put up an impressive 4-0 record and only allowed 1 earned run in 26.2 innings pitched.

Moak had eight at-bats in the championship, getting two doubles on two hits and bringing three runners hope. Over the summer, Moak grabbed nine stolen bases and had two homers out of 16 total hits.

“I’m very excited for those guys and what they are doing in the offseason as they prepare for another Bearcat Baseball season,” Ruston High Baseball Coach Bryan Beck said. “Travel baseball and third party affiliates have changed the game for high school baseball players, and I’m very proud for both Tyler and JP and their opportunities like playing in these type of events.”

Both Moak and Roach will be juniors for the Bearcats in the 2026 season.
