A naked man exposed himself to two women at Cook Park late Tuesday afternoon and escaped before police arrived.
A woman who saw the man described her experience on social media.
“Today my friend and I were sexually harassed by a naked man hiding in the woods who was filming himself performing explicit acts while watching and recording us,” the woman wrote.
“This is incredibly disturbing and unacceptable, especially at a park where many college students, high school students, families, and young children regularly run, walk, and play.”

The woman said the incident was reported to Ruston Police.
The woman described the suspect as a young white adult male of medium build with dark hair.
Lt. Kayla Loyd, spokesperson for RPD, said officers responded to Cook Park immediately and began searching for the suspect but he had not been found by Tuesday evening.
In her social media post, the woman also wrote, “We are sharing this to warn others so no one else has to experience something like this. Please stay alert, avoid walking alone if possible, and pay close attention to your surroundings when visiting the park.”
Loyd noted RPD has not received any similar reports at Cook Park or any city park in years.
Loyd said the incident is still under investigation and encourages anyone who sees suspicious activity in the area to phone 911 immediately.
