Louisiana Tech Golf head coach Matt Terry announced Wednesday the signing of Amine El Omari to join the Bulldog program beginning with the 2026-27 season.
El Omari, a freshman from Tampa, Florida, attends North Tampa Christian Academy and brings an accomplished international and junior golf resume to Ruston.
“I am excited to add Amine to an already solid signing class,” said Terry. “He has played well as of late due to a lot of hard work and I feel like he will continue that trajectory through his time at LA Tech.
“His dad was a strong player at Southeastern, and it looks like the apple does not fall far from the tree. I look forward to welcoming Amine to Ruston and seeing the impact he will have athletically and academically.”
Competing at the 2026 All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship in Kenya, El Omari finished sixth overall while posting back-to-back rounds of 71 in the second and third rounds of competition.
In 2025, he captured the 2025 Pan Arab Junior Championship in Egypt, securing the title in a playoff. He has also earned NTCA Men’s Varsity MVP honors during his prep career.
El Omari joins Reda El Hali, Jack Morris, and Wil Hindemit as part of the Terry’s signing class.
