Junior Kade Luker headlined an all-star cast of Cougars who earned all-district honors.
The LSU commit and left-handed ace for Cedar Creek was named the Most Valuable Player on the District 1-1A team while 10 more Cougars garnered postseason accolades.
Luker was a stable atop the Creek lineup and proved to be one of the top arms in the state as he helped lead the Cougars to a 26-6 record and the program’s first trip to the state semifinals in a decade. The Cougars eventually fell to state runner-up Covenant Christian in Sulphur.
Joining Luker on the all-district first team for Cedar Creek were catcher/pitcher Brett Bell, pitcher/infielder Connor Yates, pitcher/infielder Carter Nichols, outfielder Eli Slocum, pitcher/outfielder Jax Doiron, outfielder Ryan Coleman, and pitcher/infielder Noah Smith.
The Cougars also boasted a number of second team honorees, including infielder Cason Floyd, designated hitter Drew Wade, and outfielder Micah Taylor.
