A Grambling man was arrested June 17 after police responded to a complaint of a man harassing customers outside a Ruston business, according to a Ruston Police affidavit.
Christopher Thomas, 46, was arrested at the USA Travel Plaza on West Alabama Avenue after officers noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, and other signs of intoxication.
During a search, officers found two copper rods in Thomas’ front left jacket pocket. The affidavit states the rods were bent in half and had white powder residue on one end of each rod.
Thomas was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of drug paraphernalia, disturbing the peace by intoxication. He was also booked on a Lincoln Parish warrant.
