J. Ross Pullin, age 77 of Hodge, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026. A lifelong resident of Jackson Parish, Ross was a graduate of Jonesboro-Hodge High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University.
Ross is survived by his sons, Brad Pullin & wife, Sarah and Matt Pullin & wife, Emily; grandchildren, Reeves Pullin, Kate Pullin, George Pullin, James Pullin, Henry Pullin and Sam Pullin; siblings, Ray Pullin, Jr., Nell McLean and Amy Blackwell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger (Hathaway) Pullin; father, Alfred Ray Pullin, Sr.; and mother, Mary (Mathews) Pullin.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 3, at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Gayla Traina Cemetery on Friday, September 4, at 9:00 AM. with Bro. Trey Etheridge officiating. Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home will direct the graveside service.
