Three men were arrested Thursday morning after the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary in progress call near Simsboro.
When Deputy Jeffrey Marshall reached the scene about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, he located three men in the rear of the trailer park at 215 Gahagan Road. One was exiting a truck and the other two were walking beside the truck. Marshall saw a large air conditioning unit in the back of the truck.
When asked what they were doing, the men said they were “collecting scrap” but admitted they did not have permission to be on the property or take items from the unoccupied mobile home.
Arrested for simple burglary were Brandon Williams, 37, of 217 Gahagan Road, Simsboro; Kelvin W. Coleman, 56, of Ruston; and Christopher Guillory, 35, of Ruston.
Guillory was found to be wanted by the Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear in court on a fourth offense possession of marijuana charge. Coleman also had an outstanding probation violation warrant.
Bail for Williams was set at $25,000, $25,500 for Coleman, and $40,000 for Guillory.
